With this year’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Acton-Shapleigh Historical Society (ASHS) is excited to present Ralph Farnham and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Join us Wednesday, June 17, at 6 p.m. at our headquarters, at 122 Emery Mills Road in Shapleigh, as ASHS member Todd Treadwell talks about our most famous Revolutionary War veteran who lived to be 104 years old and claimed to be the last surviving member of the Battle of Bunker Hill. Treadwell will also explain the battle and its importance in nation’s struggle for independence.
Also on display for this presentation will be some Farnham family artifacts.
This program is free and open to the public and doors will be open at 5:30 p.m. There is plenty of parking and building access is handicapped accessible. Light refreshments will be available. Contact info@actonshapleigh.org if you have questions.
