Lincoln School Preservation Project

On April 23, 2013, the Lincoln School in Acton was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is now recognized as part of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of our nation and should be preserved as a living part of our community life and development in order to give a sense of orientation to the American people.

Although the Lincoln School is in relatively good shape for its age, there is allot of work that needs to be done to restore it to its original beauty.

The Acton~Shapleigh Historical Society is honored to be taking the lead in the restoration of the Lincoln School. We believe the Lincoln School is important, and believe it's 73 years of service to the Town of Acton needs to be protected for future generations. We also believe in the generosity of everyday people like yourself. We are excited about this project and hope you will be too.
